People keep throwing this word around, I'm not sure what it means, maybe someone could explain it?

    I believe it's spelled: "rent"?

I'm not aware of this word. It's never concerned me. I thought people just used money on steaks and first class. So I don't know why they need checks?

Its a musical. They're recommending it to you because its about poor people and the aids crisis, and demonstrates that poverty is Just Fine Actually and nothing bad happens to people who are in poverty :). Not being able to pay rent or afford healthcare just makes you artistic and fetishisably tragic :panting:

these joyless commies need to stop trying to ruin the artistic process smh

Plenty of people are still flying, too many in fact.

Source: Just got off a 12 hour shift in the snow and freezing rain at the airport.

At least I'm getting overtime pay for the first time in 10 months.

The WaPo editorial schmucks are some of the most reprehensible people in the MSM. Absolute ghouls. The NYT people know their audience somewhat and play pretend at being "progressive" and though they undoubtedly believe this too I don't think they'd have the gall to say it. The rest of the paper is useful in that I've been able to use its reporting to drive people left, but the editorial and opinion writers get the gulag.
