If America goes full fash then China becomes the leader of the free world. So America has a huge incentive in keeping its (albeit bullshit) liberal democracy pretensions alive.

EU would start to centralise and try to fill the void as a pseudo-super-state.

Around Germany no doubt. Looks like the nazis are getting their wish for a pan-european superstate under German rule lol

i just don't see europe being capable of that. a second world war 1 where they blow each other to bits is more likely.

I think the EU would start to centralise and try to fill the void as a pseudo-super-state.

Living in Europe, I'd say that's completely impossible. The extreme-right would grow exponentially if that were to happen.

Nazi Germany 1 didn't have the means to blow up all major population centres on earth on a whim.

War has changed a little bit.

Thinking about this, as a Canadian, I don't think that the US would need or want control of Canada. What the goal of neoliberal brand of fascism is that they want to control the economy and resources through American ownership of companies. They want financial rule of the country.

They do this already across the board with few exceptions in say the grocery store field and I think the banks. I don't think they need more control, but they would want to control the banks.

So that's what a takeover of Canada would look like. Buying banks.

The ruling class of america don't care about that - that is, they don't care about the American people. So if the land is bad well , too bad. Americans can just own the companies producing food in a different location. Its all the same.

      what country would it invade?

The US has essentially never stopped viewing Canadians as Americans-in-denial.
