Any podcast, really. Gimme the good shit
Chapo's CPAC episode where Matt dropped acid before going in rules.
Really any episode of Well There's Your Problem. It's a leftist podcast on engineering disasters. Absolutely hilarious
Wind of Change was pretty good for a road trip. A deep dive into a conspiracy theory of whether or not that song by The Scorpions was written by the CIA as an influence campaign during the cold war. It goes deep.
Chapo: -CPAC episode
- 300 review
- Thanksgiving Dinar
- Ozzyfest / Netroots episodes
- Eyes wide shut episode
TrueAnon 👁️ and of course Citations Needed.
The more niche podcasts I listen to that may be of interest to someone reading:
- This Podcast Will Kill You - two epidemiologists cover one disease per episode, very informative
- It's Not Just in Your Head - two leftist mental health professionals explore how capitalism impacts mental health
- Mad in America: Rethinking Mental Illness - explores how the current, psychiatric drug-based system of care fails clients in the mental health system
Myths and Legends Podcast has great retellings of folk tales and fairytales from all over the world. The Fictional podcast is from the same guy, but it’s a more long form retelling of classic texts like Frankenstein. And there’s always LeVar Burton Reads, which is LEVAR FUCKING BURTON READING TO YOU!1!1!1!1!
Limetown is great if you want an option that isn't political, it's one of the better scripted podcasts. It has a compelling mystery plot and is well acted, so it's good for binging and killing time.
It's great! Season 2 was a big letdown, but the first one is still one of the best audiodramas I've ever listened to.
Rev Left Radio episode "Nicaraguan Revolution: The Sandanistas, The Contras, & The CIA". I was in tears listening to this, shows how truly evil the CIA and Reagan are/were.
Mike Duncan's Revolutions podcast episode "The History of Haiti". You can literally hear him get radicalized as the episode goes on.
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History episode "American Peril". It's like 4 hours but it's really good. Talks about how America got started on imperialism after the frontier closed, but not strictly a leftist podcast.
Srsly Wrong. The latest three parter is kinda heavy deep dive into social ecology, but they also do straight up fun episodes as well. Deadpan silliness throughout.
