I don't know of any leftist groups on my area but the cops have extensive lists to make finding an org easy.
I would assume you have to contact them before joining though.
- Join the police
- Take in a full salary while at the police academy, where you're doing nothing to actually support the mission of the police
- Receive a gun and all sorts of useful training
- Collect intel on how the police operate
- Drop out before you have to actually go be a cop
- Share what you know with your comrades
Honestly not a bad idea
There was some french journalist(?) Who went undercover in some big ol french pd for like a year and wrote an expose of how racist and dehumanizing policing is - regardless of the intent of the officers.
Could do something like that
There's a fantastic Mother Jones article where the author worked undercover as a private prison guard for a few months, too.
