Question: I listened in 2018 and episodes ~50-70 are some of my favorite podcasts of all time (working my way forward through the catalog from where I stopped listening). When I listen to more recent eps, it seems that db is kinda depressed or something compared to a couple years ago? Did something happen, or is he just exhausted cause they've been doing the pod for like 2 or 3 years now?
I only started listening about a year ago but he does sound more energetic in the old eps; I chalk it up to depression and maybe parenthood and mayyybe drinking. Nothing that he's been specific about (not sure if his marriage ending is a recent development)? I resonate strongly with his doomer vibe but I do hope he's all right.
Marriage stuff would be hard for sure, sounds like a rough combo. Hope for the best for him.
When does it get good? I tried listening to it and it was mostly just talking about celebrity gossip from years ago that I didn't care about then and certainly don't care about now. When do they actually talk about kickstarters?
I'm 31, I've literally never listened to a podcast in my life and probably won't start any time soon
