To her credit, she correctly highlighted the long history of white supremacist violence in this country — the storming of the Capitol is only its latest iteration. She pointed out the discrepancies between how the cops treated peaceful BLM protesters and an overwhelmingly white murderous gang. And she highlighted that some members of Congress supported the attacks and suggested that some may even have been in communication with the white supremacist protesters.

She said a lot of correct things and then used three words that this author will now turn into a few hundred words talking about stuff that most people reading this article already know.

There is a burgeoning anti-Squad/AOC grift and folks need to start calling it for what it is.

      Good leftist politics?

The only purpose they serve, ultimately, is to highlight how pointless electoral politics under bourgeoisie democracy are.

They also do a great job at teaching the American people that there's no difference between socialism & the Democratic Party.

They're both needed. AOC and Sanders ect are going to see their potential options limited by the very institutions they want to change. We saw first hand Sanders' failure to make tearing down the party his central plank, despite him secretly wanting to year down the party.

Every elected official will be warped by the institutions that give them power.

They have no power, let alone a secret power level. Their original motivations and current motivations are immaterial. The only thing that matters is what they can accomplish, and they have to work within a system that is anathema to the left, yet they rely on that system to try and gain power.

Electoralism is quite shite, but it isn't useless. Pushing the SocDems left is important, but it shouldn't take up so much energy, and calling Sanders/AOC/whoever a sellout is a waste of energy. The only thing that will pose a threat to the ruling class is a militarized labor movement.

The Squad in general and AOC in particular get massively shit on while Bernie and Corbyn never seem to... I wonder what's the difference between these two groups of people...🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Bernie Sanders does not post hour-long rants on social media every day. He doesn't engage with Twitter or Instagram nearly as much. He has stayed out of the spotlight.

For example, the reason AOC got chewed out for her vote for Nancy Pelosi is because she responded to the topic on Twitter, and she spouted bullshit lies. Other progressives stayed silent on the issue, so there was less to focus on.
