Don't intend to really ever listen regularly again, but they do put out some great stuff every once in a while.

Felix's cold open was the worst thing I've heard in months, and I mean that in a good way

That one with the drunk Neera Tanden impressions was pretty funny. Don't remember the episode number but I think the thumbnail was Mario with a gun.

There were also some good reading series, like the one about a startup selling corporate rituals and the one where some conservative pundit takes his dog for a walk and gives us a glimpse into his misery (don't remember the ep number on those either).

455 "Dancing at the End of History" - They review the Richard Jewell movie. Good commentary.

471 "Poppy, Part 1" - About the life of George HW Bush. Good listen if you don't know your Bush family history.

436 - Consider the Lobster - they talk with David Roth about Starship Troopers, & 472- Guess I'll Just Kill Myself. I like all David Roth episodes.

420 - White Lines feat. Stavros Halkias where they answer like reader questions sent to a newspaper columnist was the hardest I've laughed in a while (it was May I think during lockdown so that could've played a role).

460 after Trump caught the 'rona is probably worth a historical revisit.

As mentioned, 435 should be scrubbed from the internet, unless you want to hate them.

It's the one QuillQuote talked about below where they had on Matt Taibbi at the height of the summer's protests and he was salty about being "cancelled" for posting some shit about police being working class too and actually all the real people he interviewed wanted more police so to say ACAB is bad, and they either didn't push back or outright agreed with him.

Anyway if you want to relive the drama, here's a thread, or TL;DR pretty well in one comment.

Did Amber actually claim the literal police part in police state is working class? This sucks lmao

Without further revisiting 90 minutes that I'll stand by should be erased from memory, I believe that's accurate. Put well by another in that thread:

Man "I feel betrayed by my fake podcast friends" is a very silly feeling, yet here I am

I was mad, then I remembered it's a comedy podcast by some Twitter personalities and if we're doing it right they're not going to be leading the vanguard, especially not if they can't recognize tailism.

They've been on a pretty good run recently.

The episode where they talk about Avatar is fantastic in that they straddle the line between being ironic and sincere perfectly, to the point where you can't tell whether they like the movie or not.

444- Ike Barinholtz joins them as they dump on conservative 'intellectuals'. Funny as hell.

458- Amazing opening, talking about Trump's taxes- why he's in debt/a millionaire

460- Trump got COVID. Literally everything in this ep is funny as hell.

462 - where they dissect Trump's brilliant 'Going out like Stan Cherra' absolutely hilarious.

465- Sorkinverse - another movie review, but it's historical and Dave Anthony's in it. I think it's terrific. It's a good movie that reinvents leftist history as liberal, omits real life endearing oddball moments, and has one of the most jaw-dropping disgusting endings ever.

I also don't think I'll ever listen to the RIP Bernie episode. It'd just be too sad

The movie reviews are always good. I liked the Richard Jewell episode a lot. Also the episode on George bush senior was good.

The latest ep was pretty good (about NEOM). I've gotten real bored of them talking about American electoral politics, imo their best eps recently are when they avoid anything that will avoid triggering their PTSD/whiplash from going "fuck electoralism"/"GO BERNIE HYYYYPE"/fuck electoralism" so quick.
