An entire continent burned down a year ago. Its GG.

Start saying "Climate Catastrophe" and don't let anyone stop you.

I assume you mean Australia. Don't worry, we've already handwaved it away as "We get fires every year" (even though it was worse then anything we've even had) so back to brunch as usual. I fucking hate my country.

i feel like theres some sort of delicious irony of pasty white conquerors coming down and just taking over a completely unsuitable country and pretending that the black people living there dont exist, and now our own pigment cells rise up in revolt and try to choke us to death with our own melanin from the inside

happy invasion day tomorrow folks :) :aus-delenda-est: :UK-cool:

You'd think the process would be self correcting as they'd just cancer themselves out of politics

How prevalent is climate change denial in Australia, particularly amongst elected national politicians and/or the mainstream media?

I think Climate Death has a nice ring to it. Even if it's not scientifically accurate, I think it conveys the danger of what's coming better than a vague word like change.

Death is too vague, because it implies an unspecified party. Americans would quietly anticipate the deaths of the others.

i mean, to be fair, that expectation will be pretty accurate - at first.

well, apocalypse sluttiness is a well documented thing. maybe get on that. or in that. or up against that. all three? not judging.

okay that's a lie. you're being judged on all these things. your final combined score will be noted.

Assuming very little is done to combat climate change, how much will life in the United States change, especially if you live away from the coasts?

I know that the global south will face the brunt of it, even though they do little to contribute.

Don't worry guys. Keep having kids.

Over population is totally not a thing, I tell my self as I watch a continent burn up.

It has to be a targeted one child policy. A one child policy in the west would be useful. It would automatically half class sizes, half traffic, free up all the people who would work to maintence the population.

We would fucking explode if we took ourbfoot off the gass pedal but it is a worthy sacrifice
