They have to be doing this on purpose, right? This happens so often that I can't see it as anything but the media actively working to normalize Nazism.
Even my co-workers are noticing, one was talking about how every video he sees of Ukraine he notices patches then looks them up and without fail they're always Nazi patches.

The black eagle looking to it's right standing over a crest with the Ukrainian military logo in place of the swastika definitely isn't a fascist symbol
yes a preocupation with the Romans is linked to fascism. Also that's the same eagle symbol used by nazi germany as a symbol
Remember when a cop in the USA had that same eagle on his inner forearm and had rolled his sleeves up while suppressing BLM protests?
Pepperidge farm remembers.
Same, my first thought was "oh, that's just basically a standard issue shirt" and was trying to figure out what's weird about the family relationships
I’m 99% positive that it’s an official department in Ukraine’s government that recognizes “everyday heroes” but they gotta name it after some Marvel fascist shit
To make sense of the Ukrainian mindset here's that in German übermenschliches Zentrum
The word "hero" does not exist in American lexicon anymore. It has been completely replaced with "superhero." Especially since COVID, people are only referred to as "real superheroes." I have a whole rant but I'll spare you, Mr. Gosling.
I often wonder what the media thinks it's doing when it normalizes neo-nazism like this
The only conclusion I can come to is that there are a ton of quiet neo-nazis in journalism
It thinks "Slava Ukraini rah rah people love this shit". I bet half of them don't even look close enough to notice the insignia. They're paid to uncritically churn out fluff, not to investigate or question.
Journalism is full of liberals. Liberals are actually very tolerant of fascists. It's the communists they can't abide and will actively censor.
I think they're not even motivated on ideological grounds, they like their job, their salary, the social position it affords them, so they don't rock the boat, and push whatever their superiors ask them to push. They probably think not any of this will ever affect them anyway.
you give "journalists" too much credit. they're all state media propagandists and only the ones who can be gently guided by the spooks make it
if you write an article and give it to a journalist they won't even read it a lot of the time and will just publish it under their own name
If Inventing Reality is anything to go off of, the journalists might not be neo-nazis but their bosses certainly are.
You might get into trouble with the manager of my punk band, Purty Balls
Damn I bet he has his own golden wheat field too. He walks through it in slow motion and rubs his hand on the berries. He also lives in a cabin off the grid in the Canadian wilderness.
I’m so disturbed that the one which looks more like a child has her hand on his thigh.
I also cannot understand the anatomy of the one on the left, because it looks like she has a freakishly long neck and is turning it 90 degrees to kiss him. Is there another daughter being hidden by her hair?
I first saw this as I was about to fall asleep and thought the knee was someone giving head
It's the outside of his right thigh, I think it's just a leverage thing. For the woman, what you see below her head is her leg, she is sitting behind him and leaning forward.
Oh I see the leg now, I thought that was a shoulder. Her loose pants give the appearance of a feminine chest.
I come from a not super affectionate family, so maybe I’m reading too much into it, but that thigh grab looks so intimate to me. I’d be really uncomfortable if a family member touched me there.
Yeah I respect your experience but I think you're looking too much into it. "many kids love physical contact" (not all, some are very standoffish physically, you gotta learn each kids vibe) is one of the first things you figure out in child care. If your program has rules about that it can be very difficult because the kids will like autonomously, without asking, climb up on your thigh and pop a squat and thats technically against the rules but I personally feel really bad denying them appropriate physical affection that is on their terms. Thats why I dont like rules like that. And I think its largely good for kids as well, as long as its on their terms.
I don't get creepy vibes from this photo (I do get Nazi vibes obviously, but we're talking about something else). Just seems like normal family affection to me and a thigh is not inherently sexual. Seems like normal family affection to me. The fact that you would feel uncomfortable if a family member touched you there is valid but I dont think anything untoward is going on here.
Is that a Nazi eagle or something? What differentiates it from a non Nazi eagle?
Yeah.
ShowWhat distinguishes the reichsadler from any random bird is the long, straight horizontal wings and the perch on a wreath. Under the third reich, that wreath contained a swastika, but modern fascist movements seeking to reference it will replace it with other symbols that aren't as reviled.
Showering with your dad is cool and good, but I wouldn't marry the guy.
