By redeemable I mean working class types that know the system is fucked, but through a myriad of reasons go “ew it’s the “insert whatever minority group/conspiracy theory” as oppose to the petite bourgeois or outright fascist types. They get the Minecraft level up

Some Soviet design for your trouble

I consider both proletariat and lumpenproletariat as a state of mind. And also different from the regular working class. Proletariat are the class aware working people, they are part of the revolutionary class. Lumpenproletariat are the irredeemable and unconvincable chuds, who will align themselves with the reactionaries every time. The working class is undecided.

That's my take, anyway. There's no particular set of conditions that defines them, but certainly one or the other are more common in certain professions and oppressed groups.

This describes a lot of people I know IRL. To be honest, I don't think we should spend too much extra effort trying to recruit reactionary, white, working class people. They may find their way to the Good News, but if they do it's gonna be a journey that they need to initiate and go on themselves. Sure, if your buddy knows you're a socialist and they want know your thoughts on stuff, by all means. But I think we'll have more success reaching out to more working class folks among groups that have faced and continue to face more oppression (i.e. indigenous and black communities and communities of color) and workers who have become jaded and largely checked out of the system.

I'm testing my Russian. Without a dictionary, I think this says "To each their own. To them the sky. To us the earth."

Russian language internet communist friends, how did I do?

Thanks. I spent a long time staring at it. I get into situations where I'll know all the words but get stumped on the meaning.

Anyway, one of these days I'll be hanging out with my Russian-Jewish ancestors, I'll be showing them memes about Czar Nicholas II getting shot and we'll be laughing. They won't make fun of my Russian because it'll be so good.

Then I'll take the jokes too far when I ask if they want to help gather the blood of gentile children for next week's matzo. :bean:
