Amazing how white americans made their own mythological origin story based on a fantasy depiction of the alienated wasteland they created for themselves, lol

*to hide the genocide required to create the wasteland, to finish the thought

“And as for freedom, it’s not the property of just the fortunate few”

Yes it fucking is because the only way to gain any semblance of actual “freedom” is to be a fucking property owner. Fuck off.

here at jeep, we believe in words that have meaning. Meaning, that is communicated to people through the use of language, such as words. If we all come together and embrace lazy, uninspired statements, we can all speak words to each other.

This is what I was thinking about when I saw this ad, even moreso than the enlightened centrism. Just example number 1,294,074 of the media telling the non-religious latina woman working retail in Los Angeles that's she's not a REAL American - because the only REAL Americans are white men over 50 who live in the midwest, great plains, or the south and work either on a farm or in a factory.

"Whoever you are, wherever you're from"

shows an average white guy and no one of any other background whatsoever

A whole lot of words, not a lot said.

Seems more like a tourism ad for that tiny chapel than for Jeep though.

It's funny to see Jeep reach across the aisle when they have the most diehard chud fanbase of any brand. I remember when Wranglers were just fun, cheap off-road vehicles to abuse on the trail. Now they're a vessel to display one's allegiance to The Thin Blue Line, Molon Labe, and the Punisher skull. Complete with headlight modifications to make the round lights ANGRY >:

It's a lullaby to rock the well off people of the US to sleep so they don't feel the need to listen to anybody about anything or think about US foreign policy.

Is one guy writing every "deep" commercial, and one other guy writing all the music for all of them?

I edged during the whole superbowl for every fake-out turn of phrase, where they switch the words around.

<deep white guy voice> "It's not the way we make friends, but the way our friends make us."

    Or whatever.

It's like Putt Buttegieg is moonlighting as an ad firm's copywriter.

      definitely totally serious conspiracy hours:

Pete was engineered in a CIA lab, that's why his 'dad' was a communist, because that made his neolib propaganda appeal even stronger. It's all lies, wake up sheeple

there's definitely a room full of hims writing this shit
