Literally the only time this happened was countries being liberated from Nazis and Nazis who preferred surrendering to usa and get cushy NATO job versus to soviets and get gulag

This is all much more accurate a description of America. Xi please, my people, the Americans, yearn for freedom.

Even setting aside the fact that America doesn’t liberate anything, one reason is that Iran is super fucking defensible and an invasion would be an absolute disaster that would make Iraq and Afghanistan look painless.

It probably happened in some areas of Europe in WW2, and maybe amongst some hardline South Viëtnamese comparadors. Otherwise, I can't really think of a time the USA would have been greeted as "liberators".

This is exactly the trash that was use to invade Iraq...

I probably could find a quote that's 100% the same but was said about Iraq at the time

    Talk about long lasting brainworm

the War of 1812 was pushed with "they will welcome us as liberators"

President James Madison was intrigued by the analysis of Major General Henry Dearborn that in the event of war, Canada would be easy pickings — even that an invasion would be welcomed by the Canadians. [source]

The population of Amerikka is very anti-American government right now. The American government has sponsored terrorism around the world.

Why do we not liberate America? The people would welcome us as heroes and it would reduce funding for terrorism around the world.

War geography 101: you don't fuck with mountain peoples. As the meme goes they have the high ground.

Armenia, Ethiopia, Iran, Nepal, Dagestan to name a few. There's a reason that these peoples are still intact despite the centuries of colonial expansion. I know I'm a bit derivative but seriously it's a lot easier to play 'king of the hill' when you're on a fucking mountain.

I'm more than willing to bet the bluemaga hogs are as bloodthirsty to the point of indistinguishability to the neocons seeing how a decent number of the 'sensible republicans' jumped ship because of trump
