If he was a random activist or something none of them would give a fuck, they’d be falling all over themselves to come up with excuses for Biden, “he has to be pragmatic, it’s a key ally in the region, the president can’t alienate the saudis so early in his term, bla bla fucking blah”.
It’s the same reason they hated trump, they didn’t give a fuck about the oppressed people that suffered under him, they thought he was a ChEeTo BeNiTo because he called them fake news and bullied them for being whiny nerds.

Citations Needed had a "News Breif" episode where they talked about this as well. "Prestigious" journalists are in a club and they look after their own - but when an amateur journalist gets beaten and charged by cops for covering a protest they generally don't give a fuck.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for Tapper himself, but the sentiment -- that bad shit is bad shit whether done by Republicans or Democrats -- is one big fault line between who's reachable and who isn't.
How can you know that:
A) there is a raging pandemic for which we were promised $2000
B) it's been 30 days
and your primary concern is defending Biden
They're defending Biden because Kashogi was a spook and mutilating him to death was good.
