What is now happening to Marx’s theory has, in the course of history, happened repeatedly to the theories of revolutionary thinkers and leaders of oppressed classes fighting for emancipation. During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it. Today, the bourgeoisie and the opportunists within the labor movement concur in this doctoring of Marxism. They omit, obscure, or distort the revolutionary side of this theory, its revolutionary soul. They push to the foreground and extol what is or seems acceptable to the bourgeoisie. All the social-chauvinists are now “Marxists” (don’t laugh!). And more and more frequently German bourgeois scholars, only yesterday specialists in the annihilation of Marxism, are speaking of the “national-German” Marx, who, they claim, educated the labor unions which are so splendidly organized for the purpose of waging a predatory war!

This is a very weird and poor interpretation of Lenin's thoughts on compromise. Specifically, Lenin stated:

"The task of a truly revolutionary party is not to declare that it is impossible to renounce all compromises, but to be able, through all compromises, when they are unavoidable, to remain true to its principles, to its class, to its revolutionary purpose, to its task of paving the way for revolution and educating the mass of the people for victory in the revolution."

I have no clue in what world voting for Biden meets that criteria.

Have you ever considered popping a few tabs of LSD so people who don’t matter will stop living rent free in your head? I get we hate landlords, but Acid is wonderful for evicting all those irrelevant thoughts taking up space in your head.

I remember when I was still moving to the left and watching contra as she was transitioning, I remember really admiring her because she was a youngish trans girl that I thought was beautiful and really smart and stuff. So disappointing to see now how much of a spineless liberal her and her fanbase are.

This doesn't really relate to the OP I just wanted to get this off my chest.

If there's one thing I know for certain about Lenin, it is that he would have meekly tried to justify electoralism as the most effective way of rooting out a fascistic empire built on the backs of labor (with help from capital). Specifically, he would have told you to vote for the racist, only sort of rich septuagenarian heavily connected to capital over the other racist, very well to do septuagenarian connected to capital, and that doing so would be the only path towards eventual revolution.

Do you think this is purposeful misrepresentation, or are these fools so blinded by their own surety that they honestly believe they're correct?

For fuck's sake. How many times do we have to go over this. Lenin said to participate in elections to increase the profile of your WORKER'S PARTY and show the Proletariat by example that even when holding significant power in the existing state structure the WORKER'S PARTY will not be able to further the damned of the proletariat and so prove that confrontation and revolution is the only why for the communists to hold true power. DOES AMERICA HAVE A WORKER'S PARTY?

Edit: without a worker's party Lenin would have told you to build one and spit in your face if you asked him who you should vote for.

This is ahistorical and dogmatic. Lenin is not a sage whose words and calls for action can be transplanted into America 2021 and you do exactly what he says to do; he wasn't perfect, and in some places he was wrong. I mean State and Revolution is just shitting on Kautsky and discussion of the failures of the Paris Commune, nothing specifically speaks about America; but there are principles that can be ascertained, such as arming of the proletariat, finding programs of improvement, the ultimate end goal of communism.

Communist compromising and collaborating with liberals gives powers to the Liberals. It dispersers revolutionary potential from the working-class demands, and diverts action into electoralism. Into a system that is rigid and unyielding to said demands. It allows the survival of opportunists.

In America, your actions are, or ought to be, local and revolutionary. Agitate, throw bigger and bigger regions into disarray from unionization efforts and strikes. Cultivate the power of the masses into an actual working-class party.
