    What even is the dr Seuss controversy, I can’t keep up with these daily culture war events

      Wikipedia should always create sections for this sort of shit. But they do have this...

      Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the organization that owns the rights to the books, films, TV shows, stage productions, exhibitions, digital media, licensed merchandise, and other strategic partnerships, announced on March 2, 2021, that it will stop publishing and licensing six books.

      The publications include And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super! and The Cat’s Quizzer. According to the publisher, the books "portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong" and are no longer being published due to racist and insensitive imagery.

      And, of course, right-wing media is screaming that it's "cancel culture".

      There are a few Dr. Seuss books that have stereotypical depictions of minorities and are being pulled from circulation. At least that's what I heard, I haven't really kept up with all of this.
