I think people put too much value in the explicit political message being in the site name, its more important that its just a catchy name you remember than that you realize "Oh this is a communist site" before you click enter.

Hexfront - sounds dumb (same as bear imo) but A) alludes to left fronts B) can backronym your way to six sides of leftism like leftcom/ml/anarchism/mlm/2 other anarchy movements or anything else really with 6 thingies C) alludes to the damn bear D) witchy

People would gripe because of "optics" and "horseshoe theory" but I still think it would be funny.
It also helps make it sound a little more casual than frontloading the message that this is a place where communists talk about communism communistically. Its one of those subtle mental barrier things that just make the thought of going onto the site slip out of your mind.
I don't know, but variations on hexbear are lame and I like .org and .su.
