Seriously I just sat in traffic for 2 hours making it not even half way to work because some little dipshit caused an accident on a 2 lane freeway. At 6am. Bladder almost burst just trying to get to a gas station to take a piss. All of traffic being diverted to back roads and shit. Just took a pto cause it'll be another hour plus before I even make it to work. There was one place I could have made a u turn but some fucker cop was blocking it cause heaven forbid people are allowed to turn around. Fuck cops. Fuck cars. The same 45 minute drive I take every day would take a high speed train 20 mins tops and I wouldn't have to worry about some asshole causing massive delays cause they can't fucking drive for shit or pay the fuck attention.
"You can call it suburban sprawl. I think it's appropriate to call it the greatest misallocation of resources in the history of the world." - James Howard Kunstler
I die a little inside every time someone cripples my entire city's tram network by parking their car too close to the rail
I've drove halfway across the country recently and fuck me semi truck drivers are insane. I can only partly blame them because they're road weary or on uppers to stay away across large swaths of fucking nothing and if they are two minutes late get canned.
But like passing 60+ in a day, almost dying a few times, and just thinking "they didn't even change she shape of a train car before putting it behind a fucking semi.
This might sound crazy but I actually think people by and large do a good job driving. Like the fact that every time I'm driving I interact with hundreds of people who just have to stop giving a shit to kill me, but I'm still alive, it's crazy!
Situations like that have me thinking about social norms a lot. For instance, at an nfl game theres 60,000 or so people all gathered there and each person individually decides Not to streak. How beautiful.
This makes me think of that Dr Who episode where people spend their entire lives trapped in cars on a highway
The real question then is when do we get the giant crabs? :crab-party: :crab-party: :crab-party:
I hate to say it, but the public transportation I rely on is also routinely crippled by dipshits
Abandon your useless "transportation". Embrace the suffering, the life, of having your choice taken away from you. Embrace tyranny.
