      You have to understand that on some level they think Iraq was good & just, that the US was a good guy doing a good thing & Iraq bad. So when you draw any parallel you're suggesting Russia good.

      Even if they're loosely "against' the Iraq war (in post) they still can't possibly make the cognitive leap to understand US imperialism is bad & fucked. Too many Lib brainworms.

      Maybe that's why they're calling you a Russia apologist, that's my take anyway

        That is quite literally what it is. I have heard "Iraq was a mistake but at least there was a reason even if it was a bad one" more times in the last week than I ever wanted to hear in my lifetime. They think Putin is just doing war for funsies so comparing the two, in their eyes, means I'm diminishing his evilness.
