What exactly is the plan for righting historical injustices? Well I guess we elected Obama.

Crackers whining about the 100m race being unfair when they get to start at 90 and black people aren’t even on the track

They can try to do what every other European immigrant did in order to become white, but they will not succeed because of harsh geopolitical truths (the cold war with China and the resultant rise in Sinophobia). Going "I'm not Chinese I'm Korean" will not save them.

LOL is that a thing? It's like when Americans in Europe lie and say they're Canadian to avoid being harassed? That's hilarious.

All valid points for sure but for me personally criticizing a community that I am not part of that also faces discrimination (even if to a different degree) is just not something I’m comfortable with. I never want to give ammo or affirmation to fascists.

I don't understand why they don't switch to zip code instead? Would basically be admissions gerrymandering at that point and we all know how that's allowed lol

Because it would mean the universities would have to openly admit that neoliberalism is a fraud

As I understand it, the University of California system (where AA was abolished via a statewide vote in 2020) has basically switched to using economic background.

Yeah. The main issue being that poverty and race, while correlated, aren't perfect reflections of each other.

Add on top of that the UC system's funding woes and increased focus on out-of-state (and international) students to fill funding gaps and there you go.

conservative asian americans are such spineless lapdogs of whiteness it's disgusting

they're capable of celebrating AA getting repealed because it only indirectly benefits them, as they're too cowardly to push for a direct, maximalist solution to the academic achievement discrepancy. this aversion to actual change is partially because they want in on that juicy juicy whiteness that derives from hating blacks and partially because actually demanding something from this country implies that their delusion of a bootstraps meritocratic america no longer holds any water.

boba liberals are even less complicated, they support AA because they see the good whites doing it and monkey see monkey do

dengism was a total wash for the chinese people, these diaspora types should never have been allowed to leave
