    voice stuff

Having a good voice would help me so much mentally, but voice training is the last thing in the world I want to do. It's all just so hard. I hated my voice changing during puberty, and I still hate it now.

I genuinely can't both speak and ask for she/her.

    Sorry. Just struggle with it.

the best time to start voice training is now, no matter how stressful it is and no matter how brief your practice is. doing a little bit at a time makes it all less overwhelming. future you will really appreciate the you of right now doing voice training

Thank you. I will try soon. I don't think I can now though. It gives me a lot of bad/sad thoughts.

        Thank you again.

That sucks. I’m lucky to like my voice. Girl voices are pretty nice, but I don’t want to get a “gay voice.” It’s funny remembering how I grumbled “she/they” when asked for my pronouns recently, I think my clothes and stuff are androgynous enough to feel valid. Idk stuff’s weird.

        That is lucky!

This is probably just because of where I am right now but I don't even care if it's a gay voice, or doesn't pass, or whatever I just need it to not sound like a guy. Glad you used the right pronouns too!

If you have car or quiet space available, I found belting along with artists who voices I love, very helpful on the difficult days, and you don’t hear yourself so much.
