I went there once when I was a child! I love museums too so it was incredibly fun for me, though at the time I wasn't aware of like, all the colonialism stuff attached to a lot of European museums. I don't know what kind of art you like but for me when I went, I loved exploring the huge hallways of European paintings on I think Level 2. When I went those rooms weren't even crowded, they were quite spacious and empty (the Mona Lisa was crowded though, I didn't even really get to glimpse her because I was a kid and I was short and couldn't push through the crowd.)

The painting 11-year-old me got the most fixated on was "The Card Sharp with the Ace of Diamonds" by Georges de la Tour. I can't explain why but I stared at that painting for a really long time. It's still probably one of my favorite paintings. God I love art museums, it's been so long since I've been to one.
