I decided to wear eyeliner to work today, and my co-workers and the "customers" are still calling me "man" and he/him. I'm not exactly hiding anything, and I knew this would probably happen, but that doesn't mean it does not hurt.
Anyway, the eyeliner I put on today made me look pretty good, at least I think so. My mom also commented on how my face looks different, and she says it's not the eyeliner but... what if it is?

WTF is wrong with them, I changed my name to the femmest one, I wear makeup, I take hormones, I have big boobs, I do voice training - I feel like I'm doing 95% of the work and all Im asking from the cis is to please just go that last 5% and use ma'am or she/her. I'm tearing our my hair trying to figure out what else I can do! Fucking FFS at this point cause I really don't feel like I can do more
It sucks. Whatever one does, if someone used to call you he/him or hears others do such, they will probably do the same indefinitely.
Could be fat redistribution, my face softened somewhat over the space of a few months though it can take up to a year or more depending on genetic makeup. If you're close with your mother she may be able to notice.
That makes sense. We live together, so she sees my face enough times to make a proper comparison. I'm just surprised she's better at spotting things then I am. Every time she brings it up I'm just thinking "wait, something's changed since a couple of weeks ago?".
It can be hard to notice small changes in yourself, it took me looking back on my transition photos to see some slight difference and I think around 8 months in was when it stood out more to me.
