IMPORTANT SITE REMINDERS ARE LISTED AFTER THIS RANT (so please read all of it in order to find the rules >:3)

On this mega I shall take the opportunity to rant about one of my favorite things: the Webnovel UNJUST DEPTHS!

Do you love transgenders?

Do you love communism?

Do you love queer romance?

Do you love killing fascists in a giant fucking mech?

Would a plotline with all of these things happening in a underwater retro-futuristic gundam setting intrigue you?

Especially if its actually really well written with good characters, rich worldbuilding, and a marxist leninist transfem author?

All of the answers should be: YES I DO or else I WILL BAN YOU

Since you obviously love all of those things then Unjust Depths is perfect for YOU yes YOU! It is DESTINY

The Imbrian Ocean is at a time of severe instability. The monarch of the vast Empire that spans its unjust depths (:3) is sick and nearing death, every territory of the ocean now vying to carve their own Destiny out of the chaos. From the Volk fascists pigmask-off , Zionists hamas-base (they literally will not die why are they still here oh my god), The 'Anarchists' (social chauvanists) lenin-dont-laugh in Bosporus, and the monarchs gui-trans of each vast noble domain, each vies for power and prestige no matter who they crush underfoot, but it would be a pretty depressing story without a bright light in the dark.

On the edge of the Empire sits the glorious Union! The (Soviet) Union soviet-chad is a socialist federation of three states (and one anarchist mountain left-unity-4 )that were formerly slave colonies under the Imbrian Empire until they broke away in a fierce liberation war. They have spent the last 20 years since then building themselves up. Whether they be Human bridget-disco , Shimmi kbity-how (Catgirls who usually follow a religion closely related to modern Islam), and Kattaran transshork-happy (a hybrid humanoid species with characteristics of sea life ranging from sharks to cuttlefish)building socialism side by side.

First lead under the revolutionary leader Dashka Kansal, then the Idealist Ahwalia who lead the country to near ruin in pursuit of building a utopia on pillars of sand, then under the scientific socialist three-heads-thinking leadership of the Grand Marshall of the Union, Bhavani Jayanskar (I love Jayanskar so much shes basically as if Stalin, Lenin, and Zhukov were rolled into the same person but was a black lesbian badass who wore the uniform REALLY WELL)(she aint the main character at all tho shes only in very few scenes i just love her so much). Under Jayanskar, the Union has been growing their economy to both eliminate hunger and give everyone a home chad-stalin , but also growing their military capabilities for the inevitable return of the Empire. The Union is alone, but with the people by its side nothing, not even Destiny, can snuff out true freedoms light. specter

As war wages between the Empire and Republic (basically underwater USA) once more over the lands between them, the facade begins to finally crack...

And a border conflict between the Empire and Union escalate, and the dreaded reconquest begins.

Amidst this turmoil, lives our main characters (yes there are multiple and all of them are lovely). Each of whom I personally love dearly, and are very well characterized. Many are soldiers of the Union, some are scientists, some are divers (mech pilots), some are lost strands finding new meaning after joining this band of Brigands

All are Communists steban

All serve the Union USSR

All would gladly give their lives to defending socialism comrade-stoic

but even they would have little inkling of the adventure set in store for them as the lands beneath the waves erupt in fire, fury, and revolt

Can these transgender badasses kick fascist ass?

Can they kiss? (oh my god please kiss ISTG THERE IS SO MUCH SHIPPING AHHHH ITS GLORIOUS)

FIND OUT HERE: https://unjustdepths.com/

please do or else I will pout incessantly

just try it pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase i need to talk to someone about it after Cromalin went AFK

I think searching for a nether fortress is actually the worst thing in minecraft. like, the newer nether biomes are cool, but you got like 4 biomes and you spend like an hour wandering around to find this 1 thing. and like, pretty much all you want from there is the blaze rods, and maybe the nether wart. all that for 1, maybe 2, items is just kinda irritating. like ok finding the fortress can also be irritating but you have at least got the eyes to show you where to go. and with say end cities the end is so empty you can spot a city from far away

maybe I've just gotten lucky with nether fortresses but they feel very numerous and exploring the new nether is pretty interesting. running thousands of empty blocks to find end cities is boring as hell imo, I just seedmap that shit lol

both are very boring to me, I can just see end cities from a lot farther away because the place is so fucking empty. I wish I had your luck with nether fortresses, I honest to god can never find them to the point I think the game is trolling me

      not-nice words about Minecraft

Okay, so, at the risk of being inflammatory with this post, I am frustrated by the progression in Minecraft. I've played probably thousands of hours, from the beta days all the way to 1.20. Most of that time after like 1.5 has been playing modded, so may not apply directly.

These things make me want to scream:

      1. Finding Nether Fortresses, just like you said. Just traversing the Nether at all, really. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes no with the fortresses. Blazes are difficult to kill no matter what due to the DoTs and I refuse to do ranged combat in the Nether because it always just ends in loot ending up in unreachable areas that I die trying to get.
      2. Ender Pearl, or even Bone farming. Wow, I hate this. Every single good useful thing in modded Minecraft needs like a gajillion Ender Pearls to be good, and I'm just fucking trying to get a storage system because I hate checking 6 chests and running back and forth to a dumb crafting table because I forgot something, but now I need to build a whole bunch of armor and weapons and risk dying and food production and all this shit just so I can get to the good part of the game, which I guess is killing the Ender Dragon with a revolver that I barely have enough bullets for, and my partner with a sword and no flight lmao, and then flying around in an airship in the End (okay, worth it)
      3. Stronghold finding, with vanilla rules. Okay so, how many Ender Pearls do you need to get to a stronghold? The answer is idk, and if you get lost easily (me) or distracted by other things (me) easily, you're basically spamming the button, trying to remember where you're going, across all terrain. And there's a chance it just explodes, or that it gets stuck and doesn't do the thing it's supposed to do. Ridiculous. Once you get there, I just start randomly digging or cheating by looking at JourneyMap trying to find the stupid portal room because for whatever reason there's all these dead ends, ravines, and other shit that makes it impossible to find where the stronghold starts/ends.
      4. Combat. I generally play on Peaceful (except in the Nether and the End, that feels wrong and I'm there to hunt Blazes/Dragons/Enderpeople), since I'm usually focused very hard on getting some kind of machinery to work and sick to death of torching a base, the spawn rules kinda piss me off even when I want to spawn monsters. Packs that let me get monster loot without needing to constantly be feeding Steve or remembering to turn off mobGriefing and on keepInventory are good tbh

IDK maybe I'm just sick of the game. I enjoyed Sevtech: Ages, actually, despite all of the above. It was different enough and liked RPing the prehistoric human who had no idea why some rocks were shiny, lol, making totems, and Geolysys making mining actually scale for the amount of ore you need in modded. But I think the progression needs to be seriously altered for me to enjoy it these days, then again, I wonder what it would be like to just chill and build a hut and hang with friends in vanilla again.

you a cehf? 'cause damn you're cooking. there's just some very hostile buggy game design minecraft has and istg I feel they don't change some of this stuff because 'that's how it's always been' as if notch didn't just pull game mechanics out of his ass 15 years ago for some of this shit. you can change stuff and make it better, let the people who will moan whenever you do anything moan

minecraft with friends objectively makes the game 100x better, even just fucking around making a base in vanilla and not trying anything crazy it's just a lot of fun to do that with other people. problem with minecraft I have is not getting my friends to play, it's keeping them playing for more than 1-2 days

I guess that was my first bear site hot take.

I kinda agree, honestly. There's a charm to the janky redstone mechanics, and it can be a fun puzzle to solve. But like, I play with cheats enabled because there's always so much BS. I skipped horses forever until Sevtech, and realized that I need to carry a fence post and lead around with me at all times or else they will go absolutely missing.

There's some basic stuff which just baffles me every time I go back, a lot of mod packs work around it though. Like the ender pearl thing.

it's keeping them playing for more than 1-2 days

true, I would unfortunately be this person, I lose interest in it these days pretty quick.

it always just ends in loot ending up in unreachable areas that I die trying to get.

Me killing a Blaze with arrows and watching the Blaze Rods fall into lava yea I haven't really found the "right" way to play Minecraft yet, I tend to stick to Wii U edition on account that I have lost my mind.

damn, what do you like about the Wii U edition? I have never tried Minecraft on console, mostly because I like mods.

Mostly that I can play it on the Gamepad. The Pro controller is nice too, plus the Wii U runs cool so good in summer.

I am a console buttcraft enthusiast, I played on 360 and Vita as well. Idk just a chill vibe.

ah i see! that makes sense! I once tried to play Factorio on steam deck after hundreds of hours on kb/mouse and I couldn't hack it, even with the console controls. I think I'd struggle to switch to controller with minecraft, but it does sound cozy on console :)

It's awkward to aim and kb/m is def better for Minecraft, but like... chill game? I wanna chill, lemme flop on the bed. I vibe. I'm a minecraft hedonist.

Yeah I agree. Once I get over the hump of re-learning the controls I bet I'd enjoy it too. I could modpack even on the SD, I bet.

it's one of those things where, the variation is nice. I like the piglins and giving gold armour a use so they leave you alone. but the issue is, yeah the nether is still 100 block drops into lava oceans, way too fucking much red everywhere, accidentally hit a zombie pigman and now 400 of them want to murder you. I know the place is designed to be hostile, but it's just so irritatingly hostile in a way that never feels like a fun challenge

For real, I didn't wanna go into it when I was playing Bedrock (I know) a couple months ago. I needed some kind of, soul sand? or whatever for something but man. I do respect the gold armour thing.
