put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

Reposting in the proper comm. Accurate analysis of the election, best thing from bernie in a long time, but he still won't call Gaza a genocide

The problem is he doesn't have any credibility, you can't show up in the aftermath and assert that you always thought the emperor had no clothes.

If he can't risk the basic embarrassment of being wrong about the Dems losing the election due to abandoning the working class, then what can he be trusted with risking?

As I said in /r/BreadTube when someone linked this:

Maybe he should've said this much sooner and much louder and demanded the implied changes as a condition for his support instead of unconditionally campaigning for "his good friend [Genocide Joe]" and partner Holocaust Harris. 🤷

Bernie is good at saying this, but he clearly doesn't expect anyone to actually listen to it. He's a total sellout and pretty shit, TBH. A sheepdog for the Democrats, as leftists have been pointing out since before even his 2016 presidential bid. He only exists to recoup their image and pretend there's some chance that the nature of the donkey-brand faction of the inherently bourgeois uni-party will change.

The only way he doesn't change his position and morphs back into a harmless democratic party loyalist in good time for the next election is if he keels over and dies first.

Nah, it's still bullshit. He made it sound like the Democrats catered specifically for the Black working class, a laughable position. And he still won't call it a genocide, so fuck Sanders.

Despite his embarrassing levels of liberalism in recent years, I can't hate the man. Correct analysis by him, and hopefully he uses his last years to put together a foundation for something that goes beyond the Democratic Party and its corporate machine.

If he was willing and prepared to do that then he should have spent the last 8 years doing so.

Unless he admits to having acted like a coward and an opportunist then there's no reason for anybody to trust him, he switches effortlessly between closing blue ranks and offering carefully measured critiques that will permit him to stay at the table.

Hopefully he uses his last few years to put several tons of TNT under the Capitol building's foundation.

All those Bernie running videos from 2016...turns out he's been running this whole time so he'd have a little extra time at the benches, if you know what I mean. owl-wink

That unfortunately can't be successful without major country wide electoral reform to remove first past the post style voting. I could only really see that happening if the capitalists think that they need to destroy the current two party system to get better control of worsening conditions. Basically asking the masses to calm down and they can vote some greens and libertarians into power as a treat.
