    Remember when they told us we could chase our dreams? "Be whatever you want", said the Capitalist, "but please choose one of these heavily commodified careers" he added. I'm studying to become a Historian, maybe, but I know I'll end up selling scrap metal because "Should have chosen another career hon".

    I hope this system burns in hell.

      Attend college! Okay, I'll study fine arts and painting. I'll paint beautiful portraits in oil of working class people, I'll try to capture some of the chaotic energy of 2020 and preserve it for future generations.

      No, don't study arts. Study something more practical! Okay, I'll study English. I'll read and analyze the great texts and literature. I'll learn to communicate, my pen will be a persuasive weapon.

      No, don't study liberal arts. Study something more scientific! Okay, I'll study sociology. I'll study group dynamics and different ways people have gotten along. I can chart a future for us to live in where coorperation and solidarity is assumed and given freely.

      No, don't study any soft science, study STEM! Okay, I'll study biology. I'll learn how animals and plants make proteins that can deliver needed medical chemicals. I'll learn how our environment is linked and how we are dooming the natural world.

      No don't study that... study computer science! Okay, I'll study comp sci. And so will everyone else. We'll all know how to code and make $10/hr creating the software backbone of your perfect techno-utopia.

        then you either get stuck in a dead end minimum wage job creating algorithms designed to break people's brains, or you get murdered by the CIA
