I checked it out a bit, but the blind worshiping of the CCP just shows they are more nationalists than actual socialists. Even if you think China is still on the path of building Socialism, their use of all the worst ills of capitalism can't be ignored. Shit like billionaires and sweatshops can't just be ignored. I even remember at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was even a post about how Jack Ma was supplying protective equipment. lol ffs that's like praising Jeff Bezos for spending a minute portion of his wealth for some good PR.

Shit like billionaires and sweatshops can’t just be ignored.

In my experience the people who want to argue about those things are just trying to virtue signal their way out of supporting AES, you know China has billionares, prisons, sweatshops and poverty still, I mean I wonder why anybody would support a socialist country smh.

Any good faith argumentation of those issues run into the issue that none of this is new, nobody is ignoring actualy ignoring any of that, people have already gone and wrote pages of argumentation about what it means to build productive forces both on this site and on Reddit and how you can't just press the communism button, yet there are always some people who willingly forget all this argumentation, who write as if coming to these issues with a clean slate as if nobody knows China has billionaires or nobody is considering what to do about it.

If you look at the context here, you'll see that those are Reddit communities, we are in the middle of a new cold war where people are getting fucked up murdered and killed on the street for looking like Asians, and some people are more concerned with discussing Chinese billionaires than the uncritical support for AES in these times.

There's a stark difference between ML(M)s and Maoists. The former are socialists that uphold the contributions to the socialist project by MZT while also critiquing his mistakes as ideological dead-ends, whereas the latter dogmatically uphold the Gonzaloite shining path interpretation of MZT - including making every mistake he had done their goal.

Easy comparison is look up a ML(M) group and compare their work to those of the American Red Guards like the infamous Austin RG.

Ironically, Mao would probably have hunted down modern Maoists. And Stalin would probably have at the very least ignored or purged anyone who considers themselves a "Stalinist".

Ask them who they would support in the (highly unlikely) hypothetical scenario where China goes full capitalist and India undergoes a successful socialist revolution

That's probably one way of telling
