I just got a message from a trans friend saying they got banned from /r/trans for trying to post the feinberg image I made some time ago. They messaged me, saying they were crying, because they got banned from 4 trans subreddits because of it and they were one of their only places of support and was so shocked that it was against the rules. They were already harassed off reddit once. I mentioned they could come here.

Its so fucking crazy that literally the 2-5% of trans people, liberals, were able to get ahold of the trans subreddits and hold our communities hostage, fragment them, and purge any trans people that want to fight and advocate for third world trans people who are literally having bombs dropped on their heads. I spend half my time on here going through ban logs to make sure as many trans people get to be here as possible and are dealt with leniently because of shit like this.

reddit-logo ruins everything

Just putting it out in the void, are there any good online spaces beyond Hexbear for trans folks? I’m so done with reddit-logo. And beyond discord servers out there for transfem voice training, it’s frustrating.

im not super aware of discord servers, never been my cup of tea. im more into front facing stuff.

susans place has a forum, and i know of some chinese trans sites on baidu tieba that are largely spammed by chasers, but outside of reddit, raddle.me and certain twitter, facebook pages, and tumblr hashtags... the pickings are slim. I want to try to drag people here so I look for removals on trans subreddits and try to bring people that are cool here

a lot of transgender people in india, if they are online, are on obscure facebook pages. this is because transgender people are generally poor and the only internet cheap phones in india can access is facebook because it is subsidized. i recommend checking there for indian stuff. but i do not like showing to everyone i am trans on facebook, this led me to look elsewhere.

it is unfortunately better to go to temples to bahuchara or similar deities for support in india.

I really hate how corporations have a giant monopoly on transgender spaces on the internet. Its incredibly frustrating and like you said, they make it easy to dox vulnerable trans people. We need to figure out how to jailbreak their phones and get hexbear on them lmao

Yeah similar in South Africa with LGBT stuff and certain social media sites being subsidised. It's all obscure Facebook groups or Twitter.

Tumblr's not bad if you curate your feed decently. It can get a little transfem vs transmasc at times but it's largely where I hang out online besides here

it's not hard to only follow a bunch of transgender communists on tumblr. now, the discourse can get bad sometimes but still pretty good if you can get past the site itself
