You know who else doesn't have empathy towards other humans?

      Nazis.

Fucking My Little Pony villain ass understanding of the Third Reich.

In my view, everyone is human except those who view others as inhuman. Those people, in their hate, cut themselves off from what it is to be human. In dehumanizing others, they dehumanize themselves. Ergo Nazis aren't people. Your typical reddit brain at this point would say "but but you're doing the same thing!:le-pol-face: ". Nope. I'm reacting in practical terms to the actively genocidal actions of those who see others as subhuman. It's a division that would exist whether I said anything about it or not. I didnt choose to cut them off from humanity, they did that to themselves.

          Arendt on Eichmann:

And just as you [Eichmann] supported and carried out a policy of not wanting to share the earth with the Jewish people and the people of a number of other nations—as though you and your superiors had any right to determine who should and who should not inhabit the world—we find that no one, that is, no member of the human race, can be expected to want to share the earth with you. This is the reason, and the only reason, you must hang.

It's just the lib love of the processes once again. The actual right wingers would either be full alt-right, spewing lies about Dresden and the clean Wehrmacht or they're at least the good ole boys type who don't give a shit who's on the receiving end of war crimes as long as it's the US doing it, which in a broken clock moment puts them on the correct side of things for this one.

But any context that isn't explicity set into writing within a given process, to the lib, not only can be ignored, it has to be, else the process might be tainted by a human understanding of a situation and not the cold, rational application of the best thing science can muster that they believe it is. And seeing how there's no "the nazis really deserved it tho"-clause for this case, the entire situation gets reduced two two spherical actors in a vacuum doing things and thus, war crimes against nazis makes you the real nazi.

Respectfully disagree here. Fash are not at all above cynically appropriating liberal or even socialist talking points and values if it suits their purpose at the moment. Why do you think they love to talk about "muh frozen peaches!!" so much? Why else did they say that they are a worker's party?

And seeing how there’s no “the nazis really deserved it tho”-clause for this case, the entire situation gets reduced to two spherical actors in a vacuum doing things and thus, war crimes against nazis makes you the real nazi.

            This I agree with.
