Murder in general goes up. People have shorter tempers and are more violent when they are too hot
100% agree. hate summer so fucking much. ooooh you like to step outside and immediately start sweating?? fuck off.
give me autumn/fall or a rainy winter. Breezy overcast days?? fuck yeah.
Autumn/fall, when the temperature is perfect, not too hot or too cold. What a nice week that is.
Omfg yes that is my second favorite climate/daily weather/seasonal event. Honestly I think I consistently enjoyed those days/weeks as a kid despite it meaning I was waking up at 6am to catch the bus that I was inevitably going to get harassed on for wanting to just read a book before school instead of engage my peers -- but I digress.
Gimme those days where 80% of the leaves have fallen off the trees, so they're blowing around outside when a strong gust of wind blows through. The sky's grey with clouds but you know it's not gonna rain at all, yet the sun won't break them up - so you put on a sweater. People starting to put Halloween decorations out which just feeds into the vibe and, growing up in a rural area is crucial for this, people are burning fallen leaves in their yards which is just carried by the breeze.
holy fuck I can't wait for fall -- best season if it's a rainy fall, second best if winter's rainier. :trans-specter: :possum-party:
sweating as soon as you step outside is only exacerbated when you have a beautiful afro like mine!!! summer is discriminatory
Summer is more fun when you're living in a place that peaks in the mid-80s.
Winter is less fun when you're living in a place with no electricity and uninsulated housing.
Summer rocks. It is nice outside where I live, lots of sunshine all day. Being outside is comfortable. Lots of pretty flowers and cool plants. Longer days means it gets brighter earlier in the morning, which makes it easier to get up. The air smells sweet. You can go for a bike ride or a nice walk, have a drink outside with friends, have a bonfire and stay up late, sleep out under the stars :) a bunch of fun stuff. Or you can just hangout in the air conditioning inside if you want. Feels good.
Yeah gonna have to say it being warmer at night and quieter with clearer skies makes it the best season hands down. Literally no better feeling than being outside at night when it is warm. :comfy: The whole atmosphere is your blanket.
Summer is great when it's 80 and there's a nice breeze. Days like today where it's 90 with humidity and no breeze are the worst.
Winter gang checking in. I live in cold northerly climate, I like winter and snow. No bugs, cozy times, good holidays between Christmas and New Years, its actually cold which I prefer to the fucking overwhelming heat of summer and spring.
Falls got nice colors and halloween though, those are strong contenders. But I vibe out with the freezing cold and snow more than fall.
But I vibe out with the freezing cold and snow more than fall.
I thought the same until my job had me spend 8-10 hours standing outside in the depths of winter.
Now, except for the mosquitoes because fuck mosquitoes, I like summer a bit more than winter.
If you are uncomfortable cold you can put a coat on. If you are too hot there is fuck all you can do
I think the truth of this statement depends a lot on geography.
Wrong. Season ranking: Spring > Summer > Autumn > Winter, at least where I live. Who wants to be cold and wet (and sick) for like three months
Where I live there are only three seasons: summer, slightly less hot summer, and a bit cold but never reaching below zero (autumn?) .
Who wants to be cold and wet
me please drop your location so i can move
Why would people with AC hate summer? They can cool off whenever they want
Uh I'm pretty sure AC is cooling only. Heating is usually talked about as a separate thing. Our home doesn't have AC (we're in Seattle) but it does have heating.
