Jerma is an E-clown and he is good, so I'd say clowns are a grade above neutral. Not bad, but not wholey good either.

I love this form of analysis. On the subject of pro athletes, Ninja is an e-sports heavyweight and he seems pretty cringe so I think NBA and NFL players deserve a cut.

I struck up a conversation with a clown outside a carnival a few years ago. He told me about how lonely he was since his kids moved out and clowning helped him have something to do and to raise money to find cures for childhood diseases.

I think they're probably mostly decent people who want to make people laugh, and a lot of them seem to be involved with the shriners because they care about helping children, but the makeup is definitely creepy.

It's like, obscuring the face is always just a little spooky, and then when you see them, your mind automatically goes to John Wayne Gacy and Pennywise and ICP.

In the end, I'd say I respect clowns who get into it for good reasons, but I don't necessarily want to watch them or think about them.

    Clowns are good.

The bad rap they get comes entirely from shit writers trying to make something unique who can't get past the "what if this thing were the complete opposite?" stage of writing. Evil and bad clowns in media stem entirely from thinking "what if good thing were bad?", therefore they are good.

I'm pretty sure the clown problem exists not because some hack frauds tried subversion but because clowns exist entirely within the uncanny valley. I'm very sure actual clowns are exactly the sort of good hearted weirdos I love and would hang out with but the whole shtick creeps me out something fierce.

This is of course entirely a me problem. If clowns are active, I just leave

I think it's wonderful that someone dedicates time to making people laugh and smile.

    Shame they aren't funny though.

All I know is one of the most interesting pieces of advice I ever received: Sometimes you have to get into the clown suit to get out of the clown suit.
