We memeing now, but fyi you can get lyme disease from ticks - however it takes up to a day from the tick latching on to you getting lyme. If you remove it fast enough, you can avoid the disease. It isn't pleasant, so do spot checks if you were out in the woods.
Did this almost every day growing up. After a while you learn to just grab 'em with your fingers.
You don't want to grab them by their bodies though, if you do they can spit out the contents of their stomach.
Also, you could get the tick-borne encephalitis, which is much harder to cure and much more severe than Lyme disease, so I really recommend avoiding ticks as much as possible.

Having more Lone Star Ticks is based, because it makes more Americans vegan
What would happen if you held a lighter to it, would it blow up?
Fire kills them, but you want to remove them before killing them because they'll spit up their Lyme disease backwash if they die while embedded. Also why you gotta make sure you get them from the head, instead of ripping off their abdomen while their head remains embedded.
