Didn’t Florida just pass a law allowing people to claim they were threatened and run them over?

    :deeper-sadness:

Goddamn it can people in Florida stop hate criming the queer community please

It fucks me up so much more cause I grew up there being gay as hell and I still have a ton of queer friends and comrades scattered across the state. The number of times I've had to scramble to check on them the last few years absolutely fucks me up way more than your garden variety desensitizing American tragedy

Redditor speculating that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz may have been a target because her car was nearby, wtf

Blanket antipathy and dismissal of the southern states, where exploitation of the American working class is most acute and where most black and latino communities are concentrated, is definitely lib.

I was actually down the street when this happened, no one had any idea of motivation at the time so a lot of people were just assuming the worst.
