    Caffeine is a drug but

    1. Drugs are cool

    2. No-one wants to hear about your drug experiences

    Struggle session over

I quit caffeine and nicotine this year.

I still love them both, the only way I was able to quit is by rationalizing that I want to be more combat-effective and resilient in the revolution

Yeah. If you keep your body clean for now, then those things will hit even harder when you consume them during the rev!

Cock and Ball Destruction can be necessary for those who are too horny. It is also offered to those who simply wish to be rid of their cock and balls

Still haven't kicked nicotine, and i don't really want to either, but i'm basically done with regular caffeine consumption.

Everyone here has forgotten the most useful application of caffeine. Hardcore gaming.

i tried some yaupon a while back and i've only had the one kind but it was absolutely spit-it-in-the-sink foul

That's not my experience with it. As I've made it, it's basically identical to yerba maté, which is not surprising, since the plants are fairly closely related. I prefer coffee and tea, but I'd adjust pretty quickly if those were hard to get.

That's good to know that there might be some better stuff out there. Mine was Yaupon Brothers brand. Maybe I had too many expectations but I remember thinking it tasted like alfalfa hay and a bit of manure. I'm open to trying it again if I see a different kind sometime 🍵

Love coffee. So tasty. Coffee culture as it is represented as required to exist is sad because to me it's just taking a lovely buzzy lil psychoactive plant and turning it into some sort of requirement to exist.

And yes of course you can be addicted to it.

I mean. Yeah. Caffeine is a drug, albeit one whose use is not only normalized but practically required to function in modern society (and whose side effects are relatively mild maybe)

There is literally no benefit to being addicted to caffeine. When you're addicted, drinking caffeine makes you feel like you have more energy because it makes you feel like garbage when you don't drink it. At no point does it actually do anything positive for you.

I mean yeah, kinda. I like things which contain caffeine, but I almost treat it with the same respect I'd treat cocaine or something, even though it's not as addictive and not nearly as harmful. Just because I don't wanna deal with any kind of addiction lol

Actually, we took on three more clients at work just after they laid half of us off "due to the COVID19 virus" so I've learned to lucid dream and come up with most of my graphic designs when I'm sleeping. Now I can just sketch them out quickly in the morning on the ride to work, which really frees up time in the evenings so I can squeeze in a few more Doordash runs. You can find a way to make anything productive!

When I need to reset my sleep schedule, I take NyQuil at like 8 pm and am out by 10.

I usually only need to do this one day but I wouldn’t do it more than 2 days in a row.

hot take, we need to remove moral stigma from all substance use so that we can actually support the health of people. because of course caffeine is a drug; doing it way too much is awful for your health. we just don't talk about it because coffee = good and drugs = bad so coffee can't hurt you.
