Supposedly Napoleons biggest regret while in exile.Which is interesting because there was an English freebooter involved in southern American independence who wanted to free him. Imagine a Bolivar, napoleon, Dessalines triumvirate.

Real "they'll greet us as liberators" energy here. Worked out fine in Afghanistan and Iraq, didn't it?

This could be true bc as soon as Cuba was invaded/annexed all the Gusanos would start a pilgrimage back to the island and turn it into Florida 2 Jetski Dealership Boogaloo

They'd leave after a day when they realize there's no Longhorn Steakhouse or Burger King and the grid can't handle AC.

Cubans, having lived under the oppressive rule of an evil communist dictatorship, would never ever try to bring back the horrors of Castro by voting for a democrat.

Annexed Cuba would be an instantly hostile population in an immediate state of civil war, wouldn't it? How would this work

Incorporate Guantanamo as a state and give the prison guards a pair of senators and a handful of house reps.

As long as civilianship was given to everyone I'd love to watch the meltdown when they vote Communist Party of Cuba candidates into congress. Almost as if they don't believe America is good.

Lmao they think Cubans would not revolt at all if this actually happened. These people seem to think that only they are capable of "standing up to tyranny" and forget others can do the same.

Cuba already revolted. It's free now. If Americans sent Cubans a proposal to incorporate into the United States, the Cubans would send it back with a polite "No thank you" in response.

The only way Cuba becomes a "state" is if we plant a flag in Guantanamo and tell the prison guards that they get two senators, a governor, and half a dozen congressmen.

Is this something they seriously consider? Because they can't even agree on whether or not Puerto Rico should be a state

What is the sentiment of the average Cuban towards their government and towards communism?
