I get the sentiment, but it's wishful thinking to imagine there's some clear separation between America's foreign and domestic politics. The only way this imperial death machine is stopping is if it's shut down from the inside, and that means figuring out how to gain enough domestic power to grab hold of its controls.

This "they can do what they want at home, I'm just concerned about the rest of the world" thinking doesn't make any sense.

This isn’t even true by this idiot lib logic anyway. Obama was much softer on Cuba than Biden or Trump and he won Florida twice.

Lol these people planning so far ahead like their analyses are worth a damn. Screaming "I'm being pragmatic!" While continuously eating shit.

It's all rahther complex, a worker like you wouldn't get it. It's total not just one group appealing to racists and the other placating racists.

Generally there are two types of voters the kind that always vote for the same party, and the kind that vote for the person in charge if the last 3 months was better for them and their family than the 3 months before that

I still think Trump would’ve won if he had managed to send out another round of $2000 checks in mid-October.

if they cared that much about long term they wouldn't have defined their party by opposition to Trump a man who was on his way out

The headlines basically write themselves: CoMmUnIsT bIdEn sUpPorTs cOmMuNist cUbA"

They'd never call Biden a communist unless he dropped the embargo!

And you have to link to this shit, OP, so we can brigade this dork.

Ask them what the fuck the point of getting elected is if you don't help people.

Party registration is a bad metric to determine how swingy a state is. West Virginia and Kentucky had more registered Democrats than Republicans in 2016 and 2020, nobody would call them blue states.

Most people who change their political views don’t update their party registration until much later, if at all. Florida’s party registration numbers describe how the state looked 15 years ago, not today.

Gerrymandering doesn’t change statewide elections and 2020 had the highest turnout in US history. It’s a reddish-purple state because there are a lot of chuds there.

"Winning elections by doing stuff that is popular and improves the material conditions of people's lives? Don't be ridiculous, that's simply not possible. Instead the right strategy is to appeal to people who think we're part of a judeo-bolchevik conspiracy to take their penises away by doing stuff they can also get by voting republican. I am a very smart brain genius."

I mean it's definitely trending red but it's not so red that Dems shouldn't compete there. It was close pretty much every election for the whole last decade.

(obviously the person who wrote that shit is an idiot but Florida is still somewhat competitive)

Yeah now that I look, that's fair. It was a lot closer than I thought it would be in 2020
