Buy up a ton of northern rural land, some firearms, gift it to some POC or even just plain Black folks.

      complete with solar-powered off-grid homes

A stinger AA missile only costs $38,000 dollars according to Google. Van Jones should turn Bezos' next rocket rodeo into a national holiday.

And then he can use the remaining $99,962,000 dollars to fund co-operative start ups or something, I don't know. I honestly don't care as long as the first part of the plan comes through.

Fund the Maoist cell he was part of before selling out to Obama and CNN. (Yes Van Jones was actually part of a Maoist group in the past, it's true lol)

What I love about our current reality is that Bezos puts Bond villains to shame. He spent half a billion on his yacht. Goldfinger has had no comment.

Didn't that fucking yacht also have a small yacht as some type of support vessel too lmao

          Yeah.

The support yacht has the helipad. When it comes to people who are truly insanely filthy rich - he lives a charmed life in a charmed era. I don't know how rich the robber barons were in today's dollars. Let's say the richest had roughly what Bezos has. They still couldn't have any of his toys or amusements. They couldn't go into space. If they had had a super yacht - it would be piddly compared to Bezo's. The same goes for all other possessions and activities.

If Bezos wants to put his footprint on the fucking moon - he will. And I bet he and his companies won't even pay a fucking penny. Somehow it'll be all funded by the US government via NASA, Space Force or whatever-the-fuck.

did he give it directly to them or is it like a charity of their choice thing where he gets the tax deduction

As I understand it - the money is theirs to so with as they see fit. Assume that's true.

I wonder how far $100m would go for this. That's probably enough for a few warehouses and the infrastructure to make deliveries in a couple of states, but would that be enough to shake up Amazon at all before you go bankrupt?

you'd have to pick a product category the way Bezos did and expand from there

and then Bezos could lose money on that category until you go out of business

that's the beauty of capitalist cOmPeTiTiOn it lets you find out who has more capital

Yeah I know, I just thought maybe there would be a point where if you specialize enough you could be profitable, but it would be almost impossible to outperform Amazon when they can starve you out for many many years and the money they'd be losing is a rounding error..

Van had a net worth of 5 million before the donation. More than enough for a single person to live off of comfortably for the rest of their life.
