Reminds me of some parts of Neuromancer; like this quote:

His buyer for the three megabytes of hot RAM in the Hitachi wasn't taking calls

I like that they're still using fax machines, gives it that authentic Japanese flavor

I'll always remember my first computer with an 800mb hard drive, looking at all of my grandfather's floppy disks/early CDs and wondering how long it would take to actually fill up that computer. 120gb back then would have been the most cyberpunk number I've ever heard.

I mean... it's not wasting my time so far but it's a little cheese and I wouldn't pay for it

cannot take Ice-T seriously and it's hilarious when he says outdated sci-fi dialogue

I was watching the RLM guys discussing Hackers (1995) and they were talking about how adorable it was watching 90s era sci-fi movies try to explain the internet and imagine what it would become. I haven't watch Jonny Mnemonic in years but I imagine it fits very nicely into that.

it has a dolphin that was trained to "sample software from enemy subs... right through the hull!"

Oh my god the magic and intrigue that the internet held back then will never, ever be matched. I was gonna say someone should make a movie about it, but I guess the Matrix has that covered.

Feels like that's not really the right vibe, if they could do a good Shadowrun movie though...

They better go with 2050s tech, i want phone booth style cyberterminals, cellphones that weigh 2kg and hacking that's just a dungeon crawl where all hardware components are seperate rooms.

That sounds like a reasonably plausible side channel attack, honestly.

It's absolute garbage but if you're into major cheese in your sci fi then yeah lol

It's a cyberpunk film with early 90's aesthetics that takes place in the far future of 2021
