All the countries in red or yellow should be wiped off the Earth. Imagine leaving your shoes on in your home. Freaks.

You're way overthinking this, if you want to put your feet up you can always take your shoes off at this moment. Not sure why your mind is boggled by this.

But where do you put your shoes then, you're sitting on the couch. Isn't it far easier to just remove your shoes as soon as you get in? Then you totally avoid this step.

At that point, I would just kick them off right there. Sometimes I take them off right when I come in, especially if its raining or muddy outside. But if the shoes are clean there's no reason it's necessary.

Once your shoes have touched the ground outside they will never be clean again

People spit on the sidewalk and dogs piss and shit on it

if I stepped in dog shit I'm sure I would take my shoes off and clean them rather than walk around my house in it.

it's universal to take shoes off indoors in hawaii. you'll need to spare them when you wipe the red countries off the map.

Because you hate yourself and thinking living in squalor is a sign of freedom and development, who the fuck knows. I just love how the non-green countries map on perfectly to the "global community" that always votes against like making Nazi hate speech illegal or something.

Floors are gross, and I don't want to get my socks or bottom of my feet dirty. I can just wear shoes around, and just take them off whenever it is convenient to do so.

It's not that weird. Sometimes I take them off, sometimes I leave them on. Depends on whose house I'm at and what they're more comfortable with. Either way is not a big deal.

I tend to do whatever the person hosting me wants. Very often I simply ask if I should take my shoes off and the friend hosting me will say no. Other people I know prefer that everybody take their shoes off. I will say that I grew up in a decently well-off suburb in the midwestern US but with a wide range of income levels at the public high school I went to, and growing up the general trend was that people with bigger, fancier houses always asked you to take your shoes off, while the people in more modest neighborhoods didn't do so. That's just how it is where I grew up, I don't have any strong opinion about one way being better or more correct.

It gets more common the older people are. And I don't think it's a generational thing, my dad flipped to shoe-wearer.

America should be yellow or mixed. If you live in part of the country with snow/muck, you absolutely take your shoes off in the house.
