I hate when parents try to provide their children with a quality holiday experience while I would prefer to hoard my wealth with the other ghouls.

This is where the 'trick' part comes in. Petty revenge based vandalism is lightly tolerated

Apparently sulfur rich foods, when exposed to painted aluminum siding, can real cause some damage, especially if it goes unnoticed for a few months. Just some food for thought, have an egg!

you know this asshole lives across the state line from the city just so he can pay less in property and probably income tax, while benefiting completely from the city providing services to the workforce/consumer base he depends on.

he's basically big mad because the kids are doing what he is doing, but only one day a year, on a holiday, for candy.

This is the reason why I have stopped touching reddit for anything else but consooming porn and video game-related posts. The roadside ditch in cyberspace where human empathy goes to die.

My mom lives in a wealthy neighborhood, every Halloween they get absolutely slammed because the area around them is pretty rural so tons of kids come down to the rich area which is more dense to do trick-or-treating. She's got a good mentality about it (it's like $200 of candy extra that she has to get) but I've listened to her neighbors bitch about it when I've ended up invited to things, so this is real.

Choices: stay in your rural area with 2 neighbors, or go to the city/suburb that's 5 miles away and have an essentially limitless number of houses to go to so your kids don't feel left out the next day at school because all their friends went there too.

It's a pretty sensible decision for multiple reasons. Mainly about how a holiday about community and staying out late works better if you go somewhere with a larger community.

the hand wringing over comments saying the GF should dump his ass are rich. Acting like someone who posts to AITA is looking for corrections for their behavior and not just looking for validation.

I really hope nobody does a trick on the bourgeoisie after refusing to give treats to the proletariat children.

Edit: The trick is murder, and I actually hope they do it. That's the joke, ha ha!

I am literally The Grinch. I hate it when children are having fun on a holiday. If possible, I'd like to prevent them from doing so. AITA?

I thought Halloween had been cancelled some time back because people put razor blades in candy, plus sugar is incredibly unhealthy and contributes to childhood obesity.

I wonder how this person is able to tell those kids aren't from his neighborhood. It's a complete mystery over what possible trait they could have that makes him able to tell that they're from a less affluent neighborhood. What could it possibly be?
