It's shit like this that makes me believe the U.S is beyond any sort of redemption. Nothing left but to hope it completely disappears as a concept, only remembered as one of history's biggest mistakes.

It's nice when they let us know how they're going to rule before there is a ruling at all

And by nice, I mean :agony-immense:

It's wild, not that many years ago any judge would have at least made some kind of vague pantomime of being unbiased. These days they're just like "Whatever he's a good boy and I wish he had shot more of you."

Is there any evidence that any of his victims took part in looting?

I really wish this guy would slowly and painfully drop dead. Evil bastard probably will never face consequences for what he has done

I'm generally all kinds of against super pointless torture to pwn the enemy but this kid can be flayed alive and fed to hermit crabs. The judge gets a really shitty part of the pit.

Maybe, I'm not sure what the local politics are where he's from. I think it's more likely that once he walks he'll become some sort of pro gun media darling. Like David Hogg, but pro shootings. The Anti-Hogg.

Cannot call people who were shot "victims", very normal country with a very normal justice system. This kid is not going to face any consequences and it's seriously depressing me.

Imagine wanting to go into criminal law, wanting to be in charge of who gets to live a normal life and who faces inarticulable trauma.

Imagine what mindset you'd have to be in to want that.

Now remember that that's every single judge.

Great judicial system, makes Saudi Arabia's justice look fucking democratic.

The gun guys I follow have been real focused on the victims criminal records etc. Like the media portrayal of them as , y'know, victims gets them real worked up. Guessing the judge gets his news from the same places
