It's like, I remember around 2008-2010, libs were talking breathlessly about how Democrats would rule for 1,000 years because they had all the growing demographics (young people and Hispanic voters) while Republicans were all old and white - the shrinking demographics.
Fast forward 10 years, and both parties are fighting tooth and nail for the old & white demographic and telling young people and Hispanics to go fuck themselves.
They looked at what they'd have to do to get those young and Hispanic votes and went for dumpster diving outside the Villages' cafeteria instead.

according to poll wonk nate bronze, 50% of dems actually support defunding the police. And 45% of black respondents support it v 28% oppose. So in addition to being another giant fuck you to black activists, this is statistically not even a good choice on paper.
