Hate your job? Have fun applying for 50+ new ones at a time, trying to juggle all the interviews during the daytime hours on top of your current job, and constantly getting passed over for anything new :guts-rage:

it do be like that, don't it? though in that case, I think it has something to do with the confidence you get from being in a relationship.

Its the fucking worst. My position for the past 6 years has been one that should be able to land me at any sort of tech company, especially SAAS ones, but fuck me its hard out there.

The whole process of looking for a job is demoralizing as fuck, just as much as actually working.

Yeah, I'm p proud of mine as well. I work in implementation so it's a pretty transferrable skill. Can get interviews no problem, but the problem seems to be everyone wants someone with some SQL or HTML skill, which I don't use at my current job (so I'm just barely competent at it) and that's where I run into trouble.

Have fun with bootlickers telling you that you need to "network" more to get better jobs.

You know, the feudalistic royal court system. :disgost:

This was the catalyst behind the first time I was fired lol. I used to skip lunch and just clock out after 8 hours, and when my supervisor said I had to take my hour lunch break - unpaid! - in the middle of the day, I just said nah and kept skipping lunch. They fired me about two weeks later.

If I ever start a worker co-op or something it's going to be 9-4 with a paid lunch from 12-1. No idea how that would work in our hypercapitalist hellworld, though. I do see little shops with very short hours but I think the people who run them are mostly very wealthy and do it as a hobby.

Tbh i dont mind it at my current job cause they're so lose with things anyways but at Target it was fuckin awful. You had to clock in and out for your lunch manually and the two 15s were seperate, so you could never take an actual hour lunch break. You were forced to waste half an hour, which was never enough time to get actual food. Shit sucked ass.

Theres a saying but I'm going to f it up: My life is divided into two parts, the parts where my wife tells me what to do and the parts where my boss tells me what to do. If my wife isn't telling me to do it then I'm sure as hell getting paid to do it.

more like [whatever time you wake up] to [whatever time you go to sleep] for the mandatory having to get ready for work, and then travel there, and then when you get home having to stare at a wall for hours on end just to recover. These people should be paying me for every waking hour
