The asshole here is clearly Jordan Peterson for inflicting the world with his garbage "work" in the first place

Counterpoint: Waking up from a coma was the least cool thing he’s done.

That's one of the worst gift ideas I've ever heard lol. Almost as bad as WaPo(I think it was) saying you should get your grandparents an NFT lmao

Even if it wasn't Jordan Peterson specifically, can you imagine giving a self help book as a Christmas present from your partner? Everything you could want in a gift, it's both judgemental and passive-aggressive.

This is an even bigger red flag:

Like I was so excited that he thought of me in advance and it wasn’t a last minute Walmart gift

Apparently the husband putting any thought into her gift is an unusual occurrence. So much she calls this a "thoughtful gift"

Edit: Oh wow, scrolling down it sounds more and more like she is in a real abusive marriage... This is sad:

Had I opened [the gift] this morning I’d have gotten up taken my children and just left and maybe gone to a hotel for the day.

First he liked that I was attentive and caring something he Dosnt love so much now as he thinks I am ruining my children by not wanting to give out harsh punishments and believing they have a right to their own feelings and thoughts. I loved him because he was hard working honest and a good friend to me when I went through an awful divorce. He has some amazing qualities. He is just an egomaniac who was raised in a very different environment then how I was.

He works a full time job. He is the man. Has said that as we are married he will never wash a dish. He has pts pared maybe two meals in the several we have been together. They were sandwiches.

Well he deals with a lot of my short comings as well. I’m an awful house keeper and he was raised in a very tidy environment. And it drives him nuts. He is use to the women in his culture cooking three full meals a day with desert keeping a perfectly neat home and raising /home schooling the kids. I don’t do any of that. So he sees it as him also accommodating me.

Christ he's pathetic. There should be a constitutional amendment that requires him to be kicked by a horse every day.

It's so sad how she describes in detail so many ways in which he is horrible, then immediately makes an excuse for him and tries to claim she's a bad person too.

I'm just being an armchair psychologist, but reading all of her posts it sounds like she has already internalized his abuse into self-hate

Is it just me or has "My SO loves Jordan Peterson too much" become a very popular genre of post on r/AITA?

Maybe it's just confirmation bias, but I swear four or five threads just like this one have been posted on the dunk tank before.

Jordan Peterson Guys took the place of the Amway Husband. I really love that kind of character because they're a mixture of Icarus rejecting wing science before jumping out a window and Pagliacci crying because he doesn't understand why people are laughing at him when he dresses like a clown and does funny things. A cult of personal responsibility, secret knowledge, and success filled with people who couldn't be further from their ideals but who are culturally expected to broadcast them. That's a growing pool of people as society becomes more alienating, and it's all the guys who fetishise a traditional marriage while doing/believing all the things that destroy one. It was only a matter of time until it became an epidemic of familycourtitis.

Here let me summarise the rule from the book:

    1. P
    2. E
    3. E
    4. P
    5. E
    6. E
    7. P
    8. O
    9. O
    10. P
    11. O
    12. O

Now of course if you'd listen to the assorted 20k hours of lectures by Jordan ":kermit-pain:" Peterboy, you'd understand the genius that actually is almost being killed by your daughter for a grift.

I sure hope this post is fake tbh.
