Kind of sad that we didn't see any direct confrontation between Ron and Donald. At least we will get to laugh when he has to endorse Trump.

trump-who-must-go this is my first time hearing about this. Wow. He had an amazing life, whatever you think about him. Some called him Meatball Ron, not me. I would never do that, but many people did call him Meatball Ron.

trump-who-must-go He's out you say? Good for him, good for him. I didn't think Ron had it in him to live to his truth, especially with all the nasty, nasty things he's said about our precious homosexuals. But i hope the coming days Ron grows more comfortable and honest with himse—

Race? What race? Ron doesn't look like an especially active person to me.

I'm surprised he took so long. It was a genuine master class in how to fuck up a campaign. Hopefully this launches his new career in alcoholism or something.

God dammit. I wanted to see him get bodied over and over. Nicknames, impressions, the works. What was even the point of all this, then

The cope from NeverTrumper Republicans is a sight to behold. Trump Nation hasn't even turned its full attention to Haley yet and when it does she will be reduced to a shell of her former self just like Jeb, Rubio, and now DeSantis. Weirdly, Cruz hasn't lost as much mojo as other former Trump rivals but that's probably due to his entrenched position and complete lack of conscience or shame.

He endorsed Trump during the announcement, and some of his #NeverTrump fans called him a cuck, lmao.

Basically a subset of fascists who want a more effective approach, and oppose Trump because they believe he's a grifter who's not serious and won't deliver them the goods.

I feel like desantis is too evil though, liberals might actually break the law with him. oh, who am I kidding? they support Israel and biden, they'd do anything.

Demographic split shows DeSantis only beats Trump with the younger GOP voters, 18-25 iirc. Trump is TV fash and DeSantis is tiktok fash which is why he’s so embarrassing

It'll be interesting to see what happens to him next. He's term-limited in FL so unless he declares himself Florida Dictator For Life, I have to wonder who wants to scoop him up and give him a job after such a spectacular tail spin.

at first i thought there was no way trump would give him the VP, but idk now. trump needs that nerdy fascist contingent and desantis speaks to them. you got a ton of PMCs in america and they love a good ole "respectable" fascist who uses the proper dog-whistles. im a PMC and i have several coworkers who are horrible people who vote GOP but hate trump. its not like they'll vote dem, but desantis being on the ticket would increase their likelihood to actually go to the polls

desantis-beta-walk He conceeded to Nikky already? My goodness they aren't even letting the Republicans vote in a primary. I'd feel bad for them but....ya know. shrug-outta-hecks

2024 is going to be year where both major parties have no one standing on their primary ballot and we have no choice but a brump general election. AGAIN.

Real nice "democracy" ya got there. 3rd parties need to use this moment. If there was ever a case of what do you have to lose?

Seriously thought we'd get more entertaining milage out of the pirmaries.

If third parties come close to success they’ll just change the rules again to make it impossible for the next go round. It’s a non-viable pathway until one of the major parties dies

A fucking half decade of buildup with a kings ransom spent by pundits, think tanks, and the general ghouls of the GOP and he folded from Trump at 10% of his power. Amazing
