Why does him saying something deserve a headline?" Yes, a yearly covid plague that kills and hospitalizes less people than we are currently seeing is the best case scenario being imagined by these psychopaths. It could easily be worse depending on how new variants mutate.
We could save tens to hundreds of thousands of lives every year if we took like, any of 4 incredibly simple measures:
Wear masks in crowded public spaces like transit during flu season.
Require adequate paid sick leave.
Even a light level of routine testing and contact tracing for flu. If someone in an office gets flu tell everyone and test them. If you have flu symptoms get tested.
Mandate flu vaccines (also can we get mRNA flu vaccines pls)
