Wow, so surprised that this happened, it'll probably take the Biden administration at least another year to figure out how to deal with this unforseen roadblock.

What's that? Gotta :vote: for democrats in the midterms so that they can finally end the filibuster so that they can pass election reform so that they have enough Democrats to pass the second half of the build back better plan so that in the next twenty years we can mitigate about 3% of the damage done in the last ten? Youuuuuuuu got it!

The DNC seems very confident that they can simply smack down, arrest and slaughter all those people they're denying the right to vote. The problem with trying to control a population through intimidation and oppression is after a certain point, said oppressed people stop giving a shit...

People regularly stop giving a shit. Problem is the police state's still strong enough to beat, kill, disappear, and intimidate enough of the population that eventually most people just decide it's not worth it to fight back.

We could still try teaching them the difference between right and wrong at least...

I mean, all that trillions of military hardware we have lying around has to get used eventually. Eventually things will crack enough that the federal government isn't able to enforce its will across the former U.S., but that's probably decades off. Could also lead to a new Warlord Period as cops and soldiers realize they still have most of the guns and no one there to say how to use them.

It seems to be the difference between dying on your feet or on your knees.

I'm saying this not to be a doomer but as someone with organizing experience: A lot of Americans would prefer to die on their knees. Standing up takes effort, and there's no gaurantee it'll amount to anything.

There's a long road ahead of us still to develop the working class' revolutionary potential.

Wait wait wait, are you saying you still have hope that moderates can be turned around? Lately I've been assuming that the most domesticated of humans would have to die out before anything gets done.

I've seen ex-moderates become communists, but also Q-people and open fascists and weird religious new agey types. So it's a toss up, really.

Never did like Gatcha game mechanics. Than again, I know that moderates with unexplored bigotry can break left because that describes ME. The SaniFlush of barely four or five years ago would be another statistic in a conflict like this.

What can we do to put our thumb on the scale? We have a better world to build and I want as many people enjoying it with me as possible.

Don’t worry. Politifact told me this was still “in the works.” I bet it’ll be done by next Christmas, we just have to :vote:

this is a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, nothing has changed

I was gonna say, I'm glad this was vetoed.

Less people should vote. There's no input we have no matter who we vote for, so all this does is continue to degrade faith in this rotting corpse of a country.

Doesn't someone out there have some dirt on her? And if not, just make some up? There are so many ways of dealing with an obstructionist like this that don't even necesitate the use of gulags. Liberals are fucking spineless.
