A guy committed suicide, a rumour spread that it was the cops, now people are rioting. The Minneapolis PD posted a video of the suicide on their twitter to try and calm people. I watched it, it's indeed a suicide.

Well, not really? If anything, it's more relevant than normal as it shows that there's so little trust in these communities with the police and so much anger, that they either don't believe the video, or they just don't care anymore as the discontent is so high.

Working from the information I saw, that seems to be what happened. Is it not? Obviously there's the larger context of protests and police shootings, but I don't see how saying the facts of the situation makes me a chud. Someone asked what's going on, what else would you say besides what I said?

The story I've heard (which might not be what happened) is that there was a murder downtown, cops chased the killer, the guy shot himself in the head, then the cops decided, out of the kindness of their hearts, to start macing and pepperballing everyone in the area. Things kicked off from there, the cops escalated all through downtown, so then it spread through the city.
Well, the alleged killer merc'd himself in front of everyone, so he didn't exactly "Get away".
