In just half an hour, all lib media is screaming about this. It is on every front page.

Huge moves in the stock market as a result of this, someone just made an enormous amount of money.

A month ago, Putin was "waiting for the ground to freeze". Now he must be waiting for a thaw ;)

He's just slowly erasing the white line that says boarder, and keeps drawing it again just a little further to the southwest.

On CNN on Sept. 8, 2002, then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice infamously warned — incorrectly — that Saddam Hussein may be close to producing a nuclear weapon. "But we don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."

Saddam could nuke NYC anytime. ANYTIME. anytime. Invade IRAQ NOW.

I've kinda seen this movie before.

Or just a US move to increase pressure, pass more sanctions and move more troops to that region, increasing the chances for war.

This hysteria has been going on for at least three months now. But speaking of money movements especially, saw this interesting graph today, tracing the USD to RUB exchange rate (green) and the mentions of the "Russian invasion of Ukraine" (red) in the Russian-speaking segment of Telegram. Not that this is a smoking gun or anything, but it's clearly economic warfare also. Except that it's affecting the Ukrainian economy much more heavily than Russia's. Via capital flight and the govt bonds fast approaching the "junk" territory.

One hour after that "Russia to invade" panic, they are saying that nothing has changed. IMO it was a provocation, looking for a Russian overreaction.

        Sullivan Briefing:

        • he made it crystal clear invasion is pure speculation. Only “able” not “will” invade. Here nothing changes
        • based on US intel again that no one else seems to have
        • I spent half day today talking to Kyiv & rpter in east: nothing changed. Everyone calm.

lmao. Yeah they "could" invade, based off of making bullshit up that doesn't even have a loose basis in reality according to people living in the region

It's the only move they have, and they're desperately repeating it because Europeans don't want a war in their backyard and are going around Washington.

Deep state freaks presumably stovepiping "leaks" that the Administration firmly believes invasion in imminent ("Can I see it?" "....No."). Also that they're calling all American nationals and urging them to evacuate immediately, not with an automated message but real State Department staffers. Then the media does its job.

Seeing this too, more like the US is going to do something bad enough that would push anyone into action, that is if anything happens and its not just economic fuckery so someone can get big money.

Lol the official correction is so funny. They said something like we aren't saying an invasion will happen, we're saying we're seeing evidence that we should raise the level of concern, or some nonsense. Reality is more of a vibe.

Yep, the BBC earlier today was banging on about how we've "never been closer to a Russian invasion of Ukraine", :tory: is employing Russophobic, pro NATO rhetoric that would make a 5 Star General in the '50s blush. Grimness all around.

Yeah, fuck, sounds awful, I'm so sorry. I can't believe how aggressive the narrative has gotten, it chills me to the bone. For what it's worth you'll always have comrades here (and I hope on the left in general)

Sky News is running with "Russia WILL INVADE within the next TEN DAYS"

If that happens I'm going to have to delete my reddit account or something because I've done a shitload to say it won't happen.
