Marx had something to say about capitalists inventing increasingly ludicrous forms of investment opportunities to chase perpetual growth.

Just wait till 80% of our GDP is backed by property speculation on Venus, and then NFT's of photos of "properties" on Venus, and then NFT's of photos of other NFT's...

    How to cure poverty:

    1. Sell the moon to the 100 richest oligarchs
    2. Send them up there to have a look at their new property.
    3. Make the rocket extra penis-shaped to appeal to the bazinga brains
    4. Once they're on the moon we kind of just let them stay there and build a sensible economic system back on earth.

So they're saying that the wealthy class definitely has the resources to wipe out poverty on Earth, but we have to bribe them to do so. With the moon.

Didn't the US both write that treaty and refuse to sign it, or be bound by it, or some typical bullshit like that?

ugh. I can't remember right now. maybe it was the Artemis Accords? I do know there are multiple instances of treaties where the US either gets sole veto power, unilateral rights to dissolve or withdraw from the agreement, uniquely isn't bound by the agreement, etc.

the satellite should be divided into parcels of land and assigned to different countries to rent out to businesses, boosting the economy.

Ah yes, the booming industry of lunar real estate development.

If we somehow survive global warming, we'll move straight to destroying the moon and ruining the tides, etc.
