    For all the years talking of "Russian disinfo", Ukraine seems to be going hard at the disinformation war. Snake Island, "Ghost of Kyiv", just straight up sharing videos of video games as if they were real, claiming they've totally killed 5000 Russians, it goes on.

    And of course Westerners eat that shit up and can't take two seconds to think critically about it. And when the truth is pointed out to them they just plug their ears and pretend they didn't see it.

      Seeing all the modern war propaganda and misinformation makes me wonder if we're really any more informed on active battles than humans were hundreds or thousands of years ago. No doubt medieval peasants in hamlets believed their king's forces were triumphing in glory even if they were getting rekt.

      Zooming out on human history like this makes me feel like we've changed so little as a species since we started cultivating grain and writing down shitposts.

      The footage has been viewed more than two million times on Twitter. However, the aircraft is travelling too fast and the video is of too poor a quality to verify which country's air force the plane belongs to.

      It's clearly a MIg 29, only Ukraine uses them, not Russia. BBC can't even stop lying in their fact checking report
